What am I?/becoming was 150 hours of collaborative, practical research with Dora Gaskill and Chelsea Petrakis, supported by the New Expressive Works Residency Program in Portland, Oregon (2017). We worked improvisations and scores — questioning, confronting, disgarding —  to pull content from unexpected places,  challenging ourselves to disrupt patterns and compositional authority. What emerged was a 20-minute work Duet Duet, an intricate partnering anxious with subtext and spacial tension, comic play with personal story, and a surprising parable about the end of the gender binary universe.
